Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost is a designer and artistic director at Dominique Perrault Architecture. A graduate of the École Camondo, she collaborated with Patrick Rubin (Atelier Canal) and Zaha Hadid in London before joining Dominique Perrault in 1989 for the project of the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Over more than three decades, their collaboration has resulted in the creation of emblematic buildings such as the major extension of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, the Ewha Womans University in Seoul, and the renovation of the Pavillon Dufour at the Château de Versailles—projects for which they also designed lighting and furniture.
The monograph features a portfolio of various projects offering an immersive view of these interiors, presenting the works in chronological order and illustrated by photographs by Flore Lorente and Alexandre Guirkinguer. The publication also includes several previously unpublished texts devoted to the work of Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost, among them an interview with the designer conducted by Vanessa Schneider, and an essay by Chiara Parisi. An exploration of her various architectural projects is also proposed through the writings of Margaux Cassan.
Vanessa Schneider is a French journalist (Le Monde), novelist, and essayist, known in particular for her political essays and her novel Tu t’appelais Maria Schneider (2018). Margaux Cassan is a philosopher and author; she has published two novels with Grasset, Vivre nu (2023) and Ultraviolet (2024). Chiara Parisi is an art historian, exhibition curator, and director of the Centre Pompidou-Metz.
