Mathilde Lestiboudois
Born in 1992, Mathilde Lestiboudois graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She also studied at the Universität der Kunst in Berlin in 2016 and was a resident at the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid in 2021–2022.
Initially a painter, Mathilde Lestiboudois depicts empty interior spaces where architectural fragments (stairs, pools, arches, columns) and furniture (chairs, armchairs, drapes) intertwine against geometric backgrounds tinted with blues and greens. The consistently frontal compositions evoke non-places — spaces halfway between reality and imagination, floating and uncertain — whose atmosphere conveys a form of tension, “between something soothing or, on the contrary, very distressing,” according to the artist. The human figure, although formally absent from her compositions, is nevertheless suggested by the drapery that inhabits the scenes, bringing a theatrical dimension.
Her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Centre d’Art Les Églises, Chelles (2023), France; at Paris B. Gallery, Paris, France (2022); and a duo show at Galerie Dilecta, Paris, France (2023). Her work has been presented in numerous group exhibitions, including at La Fab. Collection Agnès B., Paris, France (2024); at the Casa de Velázquez, Académie de France in Madrid, Spain (2022–2023); at the Collection Lambert in Avignon (2022–2023); at Hangar 7 in Salzburg, Austria (2023); at the Philharmonie de Paris, Paris, France and at Hangar Y, Meudon, France (2023); and at Maison Chaumet, Paris, France (2018).
Recently, her work was exhibited at Galerie Dilecta during the solo exhibition N’être là, from November 7, 2025 to January 15, 2026.

« Perspectives »
Bringing together the work of four women artists we collaborate with, our after summer hanging will showcase two artworks per artist, and create a link between a large and small work for each for them. No specific curation, simply a play on scale and perspective and, above all, the pleasure to dive in their respective universe.
With Caroline Corbasson, Alice Gauthier, Mathilde Lestiboudois and Valérie Sonnier.

Paréidolie
At Paréidolie Fair, we'll be presenting the Indian ink work by Mircea Cantor. This body of work will echo the cultural richness of the city of Marseille with a series of "Masks" drawings - created in 2018 for the Musée de la Chasse - that resonate with their models, traditional zoomorphic masks from northern Romania. This presentation will be complemented by drawings evoking nature, a subject dear to the artist's heart.
We wish to promote the work of two young French artists. Mathilde Lestiboudois will present a set of previously unpublished drawings, with a surrealist atmosphere, constructed like dreamlike little theaters where time seems suspended. Also new, Alice Gauthier's drawings, a blend of gouache and watercolor, are inspired by the forms of living things, painting a poetic portrait of elements and souls.

Paradis artificiels Un duo-show de Ellande Jaureguiberry
The exhibition "Paradis artificiels" (artificial paradises) puts in dialogue, in a new way, the paintings of Mathilde Lestiboudois and the drawings and sculptures of Ellande Jaureguiberry, inviting us to plunge into phantasmagorical spaces, favorable to the deployment of conflicting feelings. We are invited to metaphorically cross uncertain zones, oscillating between the theater stage and the votive altar, between the built and its ornament. Of the same delicacy in the gesture that shaped them; of an identical will of precision while granting an importance to the qualities of the material; the works of these two artists activate a dance of the glance, sometimes caught by the effects of depth and the details, sometimes sliding on the smooth or powdery surfaces covering the support. They lodge us in a discomfort, a productive doubt by which the imaginary as well as the memory are awakened. Thereby, the familiar ricochets on the unknown, the real intertwines with the fiction.

Mathilde Lestiboudois, « N'être là »
Mathilde Lestiboudois' painting gives the impression of depth, but it is not strictly a trompe-l'oeil. The setting she depicts does not hold together. The arches, which appear to be cut off in places, defy gravity through the magic of the image, a static representation of a space that is above all mental.
