Eva Medin

Eva Medin is a Franco-Brazilian artist born in Rio de Janeiro in 1988, who lives and works in Marseille. A graduate of the Pavillon Bosio and the Arts Décoratifs in Paris, her work is based on a multi-disciplinary approach, fusing performing and visual arts, cinema and theatre. She is interested in the idea of ‘emancipatory fictions’, narratives that remind us of the political relationship we have with the future. Using scenography and materials borrowed from cinematographic trickery, Eva Medin composes polyphonic experiences, prototypes of worlds between past and future, earth and cosmos.

Eva Medin is the 2022 winner of the Prix Talent contemporain de la fondation François Schneider and the Prix Art [ ] Collector - Entreprise Cornu 1887. She is also the winner of the Prix des amis du Palais de Tokyo 2020. Her work has been exhibited at the Centre Wallonie Bruxelles in 2023, at the Palais de Tokyo in 2022, at the Manifesta 2020 Biennial (Marseille), at the Chroniques 2020 Digital Arts Biennial (Marseille), at the 64th Salon de Montrouge, at the Bordeaux submarine base in 2019, at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie in 2018 (Paris), at the Bourse Révélation Emerige 2018 (Paris), and in numerous galleries and fairs in France and abroad. Her work is included in numerous private collections and in the collection of the François Schneider Foundation.

We dedicated a solo show to her work at the gallery in the spring of 2025, with the support of Cnap (Centre national des arts plastiques). A solo exhibition will be held at the Botanique art centre in Brussels (Belgium) in 2026.
