Artist's book published following Caroline Corbasson's artist residency at the Lee Ufan Arles Foundation as part of the Art & Environment 2024 Prize, Lee Ufan Arles x Guerlain.

A critical text by Jean de Loisy accompanies Caroline Corbasson's drawings, sketches, notebook pages, reproductions of works, studio views, and poems.

Since 2023, Lee Ufan Arles and Guerlain joined forces to create the Art & Environment Prize, which is awarded each year to a work that echoes that of artist Lee Ufan. As part of their commitment to supporting artistic creation and promoting art and the environment, Lee Ufan Arles and Guerlain encourage artistic productions that open up new dialogues with nature. The prize gives the winner access to an artist residency at the Lee Ufan Arles Foundation, followed by an exhibition presenting the results of the artist's research during the summer.

The project presented by Caroline Corbasson for the Art & Environment Prize, which is at the heart of her research during her residency, focuses on the study of an ambivalent force, both devastating and life-giving: the wind. The artist's works are interconnected and respond to each other to express the movement inherent in this element.

The artist's book, published by Dilecta, reproduces the research documents, pages from sketchbooks and sketches, as well as a collection of the artist's poems. The book is completed by a critical text by Jean de Loisy, written especially for the exhibition.
