Merci RaymondBertrand Lavier
Éditions Dilecta publishes Merci Raymond, by Bertrand Lavier on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name, in which Bertrand Lavier pays tribute to Raymond Hains, through a selection of his works or those of other artists who echo them.
Interview with Bertrand Lavier and Bernard Marcadé, Bertrand Lavier and Raymond Hains, Chiara Parisi and Thomas Hains
After exhibiting and producing the craziest artists or artistic projects, the Monnaie de Paris, faithful to its DNA as a maker of precious exhibitions, brings together two great figures of contemporary art and gives carte blanche to Bertrand Lavier for a tribute to Raymond Hains.
Raymond Hains (1926-2005), brilliant spirit, free and facetious who declared to be "the minister of his own culture" will be here celebrated and heckled by Bertrand Lavier who will propose, in each of the twelve rooms of the exhibition, to revisit the masterpieces. Twelve winks where Bertrand Lavier confronts, provokes and plays with the works of Raymond Hains but also his own. In this exhibition where poetry argues absurdly, we will talk about beer, skiing, Matisse and Picasso.
