A selection of 100 photographic masterpieces from the Pinault Collection.
Since 2006, photography has occupied a large place within the Pinault Collection. From Gustave Le Gray to Cindy Sherman, from Irving Penn to Wolfgang Tillmans, Raymond Depardon or Lee Miller, the successive exhibitions of these different artworks tell a history of the photographic medium based on a sensitive collection that spans from the nineteenth century to the present day. Both historical and contemporary, the collection reflects all the richness and diversity of the photographic medium.
Favoring large ensembles, the Pinault Collection has notably acquired, in 2014, one of the six editions of Henri Cartier-Bresson’s “Master Collection”: one set of 385 photographs. More recently, Pinault Collection acquired of an exceptional set from the Condé Press Photographs Fund Nast.
