The Carmignac Foundation :

Created in 2000 on the initiative of Edouard Carmignac, is a corporate foundation that focuses on two main areas: a collection of contemporary art, which currently includes more than 300 works, and the photojournalism prize, supporting an annual investigative reportage that is the subject of an exhibition and a catalogue. Since June 2018, in partnership with the Foundation, the Villa Carmignac, an exhibition space, has been created on the Ile de Porquerolles, to offer temporary exhibitions, a garden inhabited by works specially created for the space, as well as cultural and artistic programming.

In the catalogue of this group exhibition, designed by the studio deValence, most of the works are represented opposite a quotation by the artist, chosen specifically for its echo to the theme of the labyrinth and the Homeric journey. The reader is thus invited to meet each work and each artist, to stroll around, to be challenged, and even to lose oneself thanks to the game of mirrors offered by the graphic design. The book includes a booklet of in situ views of the exhibition.
