Claire
Fontaine

Claire Fontaine is a collective artist founded in 2004 and represented in Paris by Mennour Gallery. After taking her name from a popular brand of school notebooks, Claire Fontaine declared herself a "readymade artist" and began developing a version of neo-conceptual art that often resembles the work of others. She uses neon, video, sculpture, painting and writing. She has exhibited at the Sculpture Center (New York), Espace Paul Ricard (Paris), the University of California (Irvine), and most recently at Le Plateau (Paris) for the exhibition "L'Argent", and at the Chantal Crousel Gallery (Paris).
