Collective book commemorating the ¡Viva Villa! festival.

Texts by Victorine Grataloup, Stéphane Ibars, Laurène Le Cozanet, Andrea Fraser ; notes by Victorine Grataloup, Michèle Tosi

Conceived by Casa de Velázquez (Madrid), Villa Kujoyama (Tokyo) and the Académie de France à Rome - Villa Médicis, the ¡Viva Villa! festival was born of a common desire to create a regular meeting with the French public, bringing together the artists hosted during the year in these three institutions through an exhibition, a film cycle and live performances.

The festival retains its primary vocation since its creation in 2016: to offer the public a state of young contemporary creation, to promote a transition to the post residency period through meetings with various professional actors and to build a friendly and artistic network.
