For our first collaboration, we invited him to create a drawing specifically for the project. In this drawing, Mircea Suciu wishes to portray his mother in the last moments of her life. Not having permission to photograph her in those instants, he was inspired by the image of a woman handling a snake during a religious ceremony. This parallel allows him to create an image of his mother, a projection in which the facial expression is halfway between pain and ecstasy, echoing Bernini's Saint Teresa of Avila.

Each of the seventeen prints based on this drawing is enhanced by the artist with acrylic paint. Through this repeated gesture, Mircea Suciu delivers seventeen interpretations of the same moment, seventeen emotional states, offering an intimate variation  of the vanity theme.
