“As I took back drawing, I abandoned ink and graphite pencil for metallic powders, lamp-blacks and ethanol. The question of representation became secondary: the subject substitute itself during the elaboration of an emulsion sensitive to the air, making the drawing evolve through evaporation and oxidation.”
