Fulgurantes

Alice Gauthier is a visual artist, Estelle Meyer an actress, author and singer. For many years, they have maintained a strong bond of friendship fueled by their respective creativity, loving to interweave their worlds and create dialogues between them. Alice draws while reading Estelle's poems, while Estelle's poetry is inspired by Alice's works, drawings and paintings. This back-and-forth between the two artists, which began as a game, has become a habit, a kind of ritual, sometimes giving birth to performances in which Estelle sings her poems in Alice's exhibitions.

In this box set, Alice has immortalized this creative phenomenon by bringing together six of her lithographed works with three of Estelle's poems. The lithographs were produced and printed by the artist herself, the poems letterpress-printed in a traditional Paris workshop (at Michael Caine) and the boxes designed and bound by Alice Gauthier. Their worlds intertwine here once again in a unique and singular joint work created in the finest bibliophile tradition.
