Raphaël Denis

Raphaël Denis, born in 1979 in Paris, now divides his time between Paris and Brussels. Having graduated from ENSAD in 2006, he has spent nearly twenty years developing a multifaceted artistic practice that examines the fate of cultural objects when confronted with the violence of history. Through a series of installations, he analyses the processes of destruction, erasure and disappearance that affect works of art and collections. This exploration constantly intertwines art history with historical events, making memory a central theme.
