Elias Kurdy
Elias Kurdy's (born in 1990 in Damascus, Syria, lives and works in Marseille, France) work has been the subject of solo exhibitions as part of the PAC Festival, Marseille (France, 2022–23), and at Collège Le Ruissatel (2019), Marseille (France). It has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, notably at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Art, Amman (Jordan, 2025); MO.CO., Montpellier (France, 2024); at the Villa Empain, Brussels (Belgium, 2023); and at the Centre d'art Les Limbes, Saint-Étienne (France, 2022).
His work is currently part of the exhibition In That Same Hour at Darat Al Funun (Amman, Jordan) until May 30th, 2026. In addition, his installation Untitled (Cerberus), 2025, is on display in the Sculpture Garden at the Centre d'art contemporain Châteauvert (France) until November 30th, 2026.
We recently presented his work on our booth at the Art Paris Art Fair (Grand Palais, Paris). Elias Kurdy was nominated for the BNP Paribas Private Banking Prize and his work was part part of the Babel – Art and Language in France selection, curated by Loïc Le Gall.
The Château de Servières (Marseille, France) will dedicate to him a solo exhibition from May 15th to June 4th, 2026, as part of the 2026 Mediterranean season entitled Mémoire en transit [Memory in Transit], curated by Martine Robin. His work will also be presented at the Vieille Charité (Marseille, France) for the exhibition Ce que la mer garde – Mémoires de la Méditerranée [What the Sea Keeps – Memories of the Mediterranean] (August 23rd to 31st, 2026). His works are part of the collections of the National Art Gallery (Amman, 2025), the Boghossian Foundation (Brussels, 2024), Laurent Fiévet's Kervahut Fund (2023), as well as in various private collections in Switzerland, Belgium, Algeria, and France.

For Elias Kurdy's first solo show at the gallery, we present a set of drawing on fabrics as well as ceramics. The exhibition is accompanied by a text by Stéphanie Pioda.

Notre curation porte sur le travail de trois artistes : Caroline Corbasson - en focus - Elias Kurdy et Alice Gauthier. Chacun, dans leur pratique polymorphe s’intéresse et se questionne sur notre rapport au monde et livre une certaine fascination pour ce qui construit nos croyances.
