Nicolas Dhervillers works in the field of photography and drawing.

Inspired by cinematographic, theatrical and pictorial writing, his work opens up the photographic medium. Graduated with a master’s degree in photography and multimedia at the Universsity of Paris 8, he made himself known to the general public by carrying out an order for the Center Pompidou-Metz in 2009. He collaborates with international art centers and museums. His work is present in private and public collections including the Fond municipal d’art contemporain de la ville de Paris (FMAC), who exhibited it at FIAC in 2012.

In 2011, he was invited to Switzerland for a six-month residency at the end of which the art center La Ferme-Asile devoted to him a solo exhibition. In 2012, he participated in Mono, an event associated with documenta 13 (Cassel). On this occasion, the center Volklinger Hütte produced the Behind the Future series , and exhibited his work on more than 4,000 m2.

In 2014, he was invited to the Netherlands at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag for a monographic exhibition. In 2015, he took part at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale in Australia and

the Brussels Triennial of Photography and Architecture. The same year, he realized the Memory Drift project , series of drawings and monumental paintings related to his practice of

photographer, as well as his Remake series in pastel based on details of skies borrowed from photographs of Masters paintings.
